The eternal standard in bass fishing is the full-size cover jig.
Although described as full-size, the MASTERJIG is comprised of many simple parts like the precisely designed small head weighing about 10g, hook, weed guard, and skirt. Although it’s a simple lure, a lot goes into achieving the perfect balance.
Two opposing qualities had to be incorporated. One is that penetrates thick cover and has high snag-less ability to slip past obstacles. The second is that it hooks well.
In bringing the ideal cover jig to life, each component was carefully considered on the MASTERJIG.
The hook which is considered the backbone of the jig has the ideal shape and size that enables full-power hook sets. Specially ordered hooks are flat-sided and Teflon-coated that allow sharp penetration on sudden bites.
The head shape was designed to penetrate cover, slip through obstacles, and for good posture on bottom. By testing hand-carved samples under every imaginable scenario, the ideal jig was completed.
The original skirt was made with optimal volume and hardness for a flare and volume that attracts fish.
Each weight class is carefully comprised of balanced parts so that both slip-through and hooking abilities are optimized. The total balance of the MASTERJIG excels not just in cover, but because of its bottom stability, performs exceptionally well in open water. By even allowing Jigusuto and mid-depth swimming, this is the ultimate full-size cover jig.
