While the Osakana Swimmer focuses on "static" techniques such as free fall, bottom-dwelling, and dead-slow retrieves, the Osakana Slide 170 is a jointed soft swimbait that pursues a "dynamic" movement with a quick sliding action that creates a reaction effect and a sense of speed.

● Head-shaking action using rod work and digital winding The
semi-lip-shaped lower jaw grips the water, controlling its movement out of the water and creating a graceful table turn from the first action. By varying the strength of the input, anglers can control it at will, from the alluring action unique to soft materials to linear and quick actions with a high reaction effect.
● Straight retrieve
It supports a wide range of reeling speeds, from dead slow to ultra-high speed. It has high swimming ability that can cover not only still water areas but also fast-flowing areas. At low to medium speeds it performs a slalom action, and at high speeds it moves straight with its tail fluttering violently. You can also easily perform a combination of slow and fast retrieves to appeal to fish leisurely at low to medium speeds and then switch to a high-speed retrieve when a fish chases it. Furthermore, by utilizing its excellent swimming ability, it is possible to perform a variety of techniques, such as targeting fast-flowing areas such as backwaters and rivers with a high-speed retrieve like a minnow plug.

◆Features a semi-lip and inline-through system.

The semi-lip shaped lower jaw firmly grips the water, preventing it from jumping out of the water and initiating a head-shaking motion, resulting in elegant table turns from side to side right from the first action.
It also features a specially designed inline-through system that reduces the chance of losing the fish and improves body durability.

◆Float core

The main body is equipped with a buoyancy element, and another buoyancy element is installed in the rear body, allowing for a perfectly horizontal free fall when tuned for sinking. Even with free fall alone, it exhibits the same amazing fish-attracting power as the Osakana Swimmer. For fish that won't bite with just free fall or bottom-dwelling, the sliding action after a staring contest can induce a reaction bite, making it a solid sight-fishing weapon when used in conjunction with the Osakana Swimmer.

◆Equipped with original assist hooks as standard.

It comes standard with a special assist hook by default.
When the assist hook is attached, it is set to be slow floating to dead slow sinking, and when the assist hook is removed, it becomes floating. (There may be individual differences.) You
can optionally insert a nail sinker into the belly to control the depth according to the fish's behavior.
*When using the assist hook, insert one of the assist hooks into the body.
*The hook point is dangerous, so be sure to use pliers or similar tools when removing the assist hook.
